How a no-spend challenge works
For a set number of days you buy only the essentials you listed, such as rent, bills, groceries and travel to work, and nothing else. Pick a start date and a length: a week, a month, or any number of days up to a year. The calendar lays out every day, across month ends and leap years.
Each evening, tap the day once if you bought nothing outside your essentials, or twice if you did. When you skip a purchase, add it to the money-not-spent log with what it would have cost, and the tag adds it up. Your marks and log are saved in this browser only.
Prefer paper? Print the tracker and tick the boxes by hand. The printout shows the calendar, your essentials and your log.
Questions
What should count as essential?
Whatever you need to live and work: housing, bills, food, medicine, getting to work, and anything you owe. Decide before you start and write it down, so you are not deciding in the moment.
What if I slip up?
Mark the day as spent and carry on. The point is to notice where money goes, not to be perfect.
Why does the example start in February 2027?
It is a fixed example so the page looks the same for everyone. Pick your own start date above and the calendar redraws.
